Tonight, in the 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, we won the Polish vice-champion “Śląsk Wrocław” 1:0 at the Skonto Stadium. Ousseynou Niang scored the only goal for our team. A week later, the second leg in Poland.
Both teams finished second in their respective championships last season.
We completely dominated at the beginning of the game. We created many chances and scored the first goal in the seventh minute. After a great pass by El Bashir Ngoma, Ousseynou Niang sent the ball into the goal – 1:0. Soon Reginaldo Ramires also had a great chance, but the visitors were saved by the goalkeeper. There was a great atmosphere in the stadium, 6014 spectators watched the game in person, and we were leading 1:0 after the first half.
The game was more close in the second half. Neither team had very good moments in the second half. We played convincingly on our side of the field and will fly to Poland with a score of 1:0.
The second leg game in Wroclaw is in a week, but already on Sunday we will play against “Daugavpils” in the Latvian Championship at the Skonto Stadium.
