Tonight in the 26th round game of the Latvian Highest league, we defeated “Metta” with the scoreline of 4:2. Brian Peña scored two goals, while Reginaldo Ramirs and Anthony Contreras scored one each.
We earned the maximum six points against “Metta” this year – we won the first match with 2:1, and in the second match we beat our opponents with 5:0.
We dominated the first half of the game and created several goal-scoring opportunities. In the fifth minute, Brian Peña scored the first goal in this match (1:0). In the middle of the half, we played poorly in the middle of the field, and the opponent’s midfielder Kristofers Rēkis surprised our goalkeeper Nils Puriņš (1:1). The first 45 minutes ended with this result.
We started the second half aggressively and scored two goals in 14 minutes. In the 49th minute, Peña scored the second goal in the match, and ten minutes later, Reginaldo Ramires scored a header from the close distance (3:1). At the very end of the game, both teams scored a goal each, and in the end we won with a scoreline of 4:2.
The next game will be on August 18 in the 1/4 finals of the Latvian Cup against Leevon PPK.
