Tonight, in the match of the 31st round of the Latvian Highest leeague at the Skonto Stadium, we beat “Liepāja” with the result 1:0! The only goal for our team was scored by Reginaldo Ramires. October 5 game in Jelgava.
We earned seven of the maximum nine points against Liepāja this season. Kristaps Zommers was in our goal tonight, for whom it was his debut in our shirt in the Latvian Highest league.
There were few scoring opportunities in the first half of the game. We controlled the ball more, but lacked sharpness at the end of attacks. After the first half, the scoreboard was tied – 0:0.
We started the second half actively, and in the 52nd minute, Reginaldo Ramires scored from the 11-meter mark – 1:0. A little later, Ramires also scored the second goal, but the referees fixed the offside. Goalkeeper Zommers saved us a few times during the half, overall we played convincingly and won 1:0.
