Tonight, in the 33rd round game of the Latvian Highest league, in an away match we defeated “Daugavpils” with the scoreline of 2:0! Baba Musah scored both goals for our team. Latvian Cup final on Wednesday.
This season, we had two wins against Daugavpils and a draw once. The team went to Daugavpils already yesterday, when we held a pre-match training session in this city.
In the first half of the game, we controlled the ball much more, but the opponents still had the best moment. Ramin Nasirli shot from a very good position, and goalkeeper Rihards Matrevics saved our team. After the first half, the scoreboard showed 0:0.
In the second half, the game became even more emotional, and referee Andris Treimanis often had to calm down the players. We couldn’t score a goal for a long time, but already during the additional time, Baba Musah scored with a header – 1:0. The Ghana defender scored another two minutes later and we won 2:0.
