On Friday, in the 32nd round of the Latvian Highest league, we defeated FK “Liepāja” at Skonto Stadium with 3:0. Goals were scored by Orlando Galo, Meissa Diop and Marko Regža.
We had won all four games against FK “Liepāja” this year. 5:2, 2:0 and 3:2 in the Latvian Championship and 4:0 in the Latvian Cup.
We started impressively the fifth. Already in the 1st minute, Orlando Galo scored a goal after the cross from the left wing – 1:0. Overall, the first half of the game was quite close after that. In one episode, goalkeeper Krišjānis Zviedris saved our team.
In the beginning of the second half, the opponents had a good chance, but both Zviedris and El Bashir Ngom played excellently. In the 68th minute, we organized a great attack, which ended with Meissa Diop scoring a goal – 2:0. 11 minutes later, after a powerful pass from Raivis Jurkovskis, Marko Regža scored from close range. Victory 3:0.
