Tonight at the Skonto Stadium in the 16th round game of the Latvian Highest league, we defeated Tukums with a scoreline of 3:0. The goals were scored by Gonsalo Muscia, Marko Regža and Abdulrahman Taiwo.
In the first game in Tukums, we experienced an unexpected and very unpleasant loss with the result 1:2.
We started the game very strongly. In the 6th minute, Argentine midfielder Gonsalo Muscia scored the first goal in our club shirt – 1:0. Four minutes later, Marko Regža scored from the 11-meter mark – 2:0. After our second goal, the game was calmer, there were not many dangerous moments and we were leading by two goals after the first half.
During the second half, our head coach Simo Valakari made five substitutions. In the 58th minute, Abdulrahman Taiwo played perfectly in the opponent’s penalty area and scored his second goal this season – 3:0. We could have scored several more goals, but that was the end of the game.
The next match is on June 2 at Skonto Stadium against “Metta”. The kick-off at 20:00.
