Tonight, in the 28th round game of the Latvian Highest league, we won 6:1 against “Grobiņa SC/LFS” at the Skonto Stadium. Marko Regža scored three goals, and Brian Peña scored twice! Now there is a two-week break in the championship.
We had won all three games against Grobiņa this year and had not conceded a single goal – 1:0, 2:0, 6:0.
We started with a lot of ball control, but in the 8th minute, the opponents scored a goal after a corner kick (0:1). We responded quickly and Brian Peña scored after a pass from the right side (1:1). We dominated the entire first half of the game, and in the 36th minute, after a strong cross from the left side, the opponents kicked the ball into their own goal (2:1). After 45 minutes we were in the lead with a minimal advantage.
We started the second half aggressively, and in the 51st minute Marko Rega scored a goal (3:1). We continued to attack, and nine minutes later, another good combination, and Peña scored masterfully (4:1). In the remaining time of the game, Regža scored two more goals, completed a “hat-trick” and in the end we won with the result 6:1.
