Tonight at the Skonto Stadium, we won Grobiņas SC/LFS in the 10th round of the Latvian Highest league with a scoreline of 2:0. The goals were scored by Kemehlo Nguena and Marko Regža.
In the first round, we beat the debutants of the Latvian higher league away with the result 1:0. Regža scored the only goal in that game.
We scored the first goal in the 9th minute. Eduards Daškėvičs played well on the left side, the midfielder passed the ball into the penalty area, and Kemehlo Nguena scored the first goal this season (1:0). Our striker Abdulrahman Taiwo had several good chances in the first half. The Nigerian striker did not use any of the opportunities.
In the second half, we controlled the game, and in the 61st minute, the opponents made a foul against Nguena in their penalty area, and Regža scored his eighth goal of the season from the 11-meter mark (2:0). The guests had one chance after our mistake, but goalkeeper Nils Puriņš saved the team. The final result was a 2:0 victory.
