Tonight we played the first test match in the United Arab Emirates and lost 1:3 to the local club “United FC”. Miloš Jojić scored the only goal for our team.
We have been training in Dubai since January 8, mostly we have two training sessions a day – one in the gym and one on the football field. On Thursday, we played the first test match against “United”, the second strongest championship club in the UAE.
In the first half, we made some big mistakes that allowed the opponents to score two goals. We also had a couple of really good chances in the first half, but couldn’t beat the opposition goalkeeper. After the first half, the opponents were leading 2:0.
In the second half, the head coach made nine player substitutions, only Kirils Iļjins and Eduards Dašķevičs played 70 minutes. After our mistake, the opponents also scored the third goal, but in the 72nd minute, midfielder Miloš Jojić scored the only goal for our team with a great shot. Loss in the first game with the scoreline of 1:3.
