Today in the 19th round of the Latvian Highest league we beat “Grobiņas SC/LFS” with a scoreline of 6:0. Marko Regža scored twice, while Kemehlo Nguena, Brian Orosco, Ousseynou Niang and Luis Iberico scored once.
This season, we already played two games against the team from Grobiņa – we won the first match in Liepāja with 1:0, and in the second game at Skonto Stadium – with 2:0.
We started the game very strong. Miloš Jojić played excellently, took advantage of the opponent’s mistake and at the end of the attack passed to Marko Regža – the striker kicked the ball into an empty goal (1:0). We continued to attack, and in the 28th minute Marko also scored the second goal (2:0) after a pass from Miloš.
Five minutes later, we created a very good attack on the right side, Raivis Jurkovskis made a pass in the penalty area, and Kemehlo Nguena hit the ball in the corner (3:0). The players showed that they want to score more and more goals. In the 36th minute, Brian Orosco was faster than the opponents, and at the end of the episode, he hit the ball exactly into the far corner of the goal (4:0). After the first half we were in the lead with four goals.
At the beginning of the second half, Ousseynou Niang, who had a lot of moments in this match, finally scored (5:0). After the fifth goal, the opponents also had some opportunities, and in the middle of the half, our team was saved by goalkeeper Nils Puriņš after a penalty kick by the opponents. In the 73rd minute, Luis Iberico scored the sixth goal in the game (6:0). At the end of the game, we could have scored at least two or three more goals, but we couldn’t. The final result was a 6:0 victory.
