In the 1st match of the 3rd round of the UEFA Conference League qualification, we defeated “Beitar Jerusalem” team 3:0 at Skonto Stadium. Two goals were scored by Reginaldo Ramires, one by Baba Musah. On August 14, the game in Romania.
We started the Conference League tournament with the 2nd round, where we met with “Dila Gori” from Georgia, which we won in two games with a score of 5:4 (2:1, 3:3). “Beitar” defeated “Sutjeska” from Montenegro (2:1, 5:2).
The first half of the game at Skonto Stadium was close. Both teams played quite cautiously, but we controlled the ball more. In the first half, there was only one shot on target, and it quite logically ended in a draw (0:0).
The second half can be called the best this season. Impressive performance and three goals scored. In the 47th minute, after a pass from Joao Grimaldo from the right wing, Reginaldo Ramires scored the goal – 1:0. We dominated, and 16 minutes later Ramires made a header from few meters (2:0). We had several more chances, but in the 69th minute, Baba Musah scored the last of the game. Victory 3:0.
On Thursday, August 14, we will play against the Israeli club in Romania.
