On Sunday, in the 30th round of the Latvian Highest league, we won a hard-fought away victory against FS “Jelgava” – 3:2. Joao Grimaldo, Reginaldo Ramires and Marko Regža scored goals for our team.
We lost two points in an away match against FS “Jelgava” at the beginning of this season (1:1), but we managed to win the next two matches against this team – 2:0, 3:0.
The first half of the game was difficult. We did not make a single shot on target in 45 minutes and in general there were few very good scoring opportunities. We controlled the ball more, but the draw on the scoreboard after the first half was fair (0:0).
At the beginning of the second half, the opponents even took the lead (0:1). But at this point our response was very strong – in the 56th minute Joao Grimaldo scored a beautiful individual goal, and seven minutes later Reginaldo Ramires did the same (2:1). In the 75th minute Marko Regža powerfully hit the top of the goal (3:1). The home team recovered one goal, but we held on to win – 3:2.
