Tonight at the Skonto Stadium we scored five goals in the second half and beat “Metta” with the scoreline of 5:0 in the 17th round of the Latvian Highest league. Luis Iberico scored two goals, Abdulrahman Taiwo, Ousseinou Niang and Hrvoje Babec scored one each.
Before this match, we had won three games in a row. We won the first game against “Metta” away with the result 2:1.
It was clear from the first minutes that in this game we will control the ball much more, but the opponents will wait for their opportunities in counterattacks. In the first half of the game, we had a lot of set-pieces, crosses in the penalty area, but not very good scoring moments. After the first half, it was tied 0:0.
During the second half, we scored three goals in ten minutes. In the 65th minute, Abdulrahman Taiwo scored the third goal this season with a strong shot – 1:0. Three minutes later, Luis Iberico scored with the help of a ricochet – 2:0. In the 74th minute, Ousseynou Niang scored a beautiful goal – 3:0. We continued to attack, and soon Iberico scored the second goal in the game – 4:0. Hrvoje Babec finished game. After Raivis Jurkovski’s pass, the Croatian shot the ball beautifully in the corner. Victory with a score of 5:0.
