On Tuesday, in the 9th round of the Latvian Highest league, we drew 3:3 against FC RFS! Goals were scored by Renārs Varslavāns, Muhammed Babamosi and Caio! Sunday game against “Liepāja”.
Before this game, RFS and we were in the first two places in the tournament table. The game, which has already become a great Latvian sports classic, was attended by almost 1,500 spectators.
The start of the game was very bad. In the first 16 minutes, RFS scored two goals (0:2). Then the opponents had another great chance, but our team was saved by Krišjānis Zviedris. We controlled the ball more, and in the 38th minute, our sustained attack pressure ended with Renārs Varslavāns’ goal (1:2). We were close to scoring the second goal, but the first half ended with 1:2.
In the second half, we continued to put pressure on the opponent’s goal, and in the 63rd minute, Paulo Eduardo crossed perfectly from the left wing, Reginaldo Ramires made the next pass, and Muhammed Badamosi scored from close range (2:2). RFS responded with a quick goal by Dmitrijs Zelenkovs (2:3). We did not give up, fought until the end, and in the 87th minute, Caio scored with a great shot to make it 3:3, which is also the final score of the game.
On May 3, we will host FK “Liepāja” at Skonto Stadium.
