Tonight in the 1/4 final game of the Latvian Cup, we won against “Leevon PPK” with a scoreline of 4:0. The goals were scored by Eduards Dašķevičs, Anthony Contreras, Marko Regža and Ousseynou Niang. Already on Sunday, the Riga derby at the Skonto Stadium.
In the middle of July, in the 1/8 finals of the Latvian Cup, we beat another team from the second strongest championship “Ventspils” with 3:0. Last year we played against PPK in the 1/8 finals and won 5:0.
We were actively attacking in the first minutes of the game, but the opponents can also be praised for their selfless performance. We didn’t take advantage of the first opportunities, but in the 26th minute, Eduards Daškėvičs scored from close range after a cross from Raivis Jurkovskis (1:0). Although we could have scored several more goals, we were leading 1:0 after the first half of the game.
At the beginning of the second half, Anthony Contreras scored a beautiful goal (2:0). In the 72nd minute, after a great pass by Bryan Orosco, Marko Regža scored masterfully and convincingly (3:0). We scored the last one a minute before the end of the game, when the opponents couldn’t deal with Ousseynou Niang. The final result was a 4:0 victory.
