Tonight in the 1/8 final game of the Latvian Cup at the Skonto stadium, we won “PPK/Betsafe” with a score of 5:0! Anthony Contreras scored two goals in his debut! 1225 spectators watched this match in person.
“PPK/Betsafe” plays according to strength in the 3rd Latvian football league, but is still one of the most popular teams in the Latvian football pyramid. There was quite a lot of interest in this match and in total more than 1200 spectators watched the match in person.
We scored the first goal when Anthony Contreras scored in his debut game after a pass from Gauthier Mankenda – 1:0. We scored the second goal with the help of luck 11 minutes later. For a long time, we had only a two-goal advantage, but at the end of the half, Alexander Ogunji scored a beautiful header. After the first half we were leading 3:0.
We scored two goals in the second half. In the 55th minute, Contreras scored the second goal of the game from close range, and in the 81st minute, our young striker Glebs Patika scored a quality goal. The final result was a 5:0 victory.
The next game will be on July 20 in the Conference League against Icelandic “Vikingur”.
