We continue our winning streak in the Latvian Highest league! Tonight at the Skonto Stadium in the 20th round we defeated FK “Auda” with a scoreline of 3:1. Goals were scored by Marko Regža, Baba Musah and Antonijs Černomordijs. On Tuesday we will host FS “Jelgava”.

This season we had four of the maximum six points against FK “Auda”. We did not use many chances in the first game and played a draw 2:2, but in the second game we earned a convincing victory with 3:1.

We started the game very strongly. In the 10th minute Meissa Diop took the ball away from the opponent, passed to Marko Regža, and the striker calmly sent the ball into the corner of the goal – 1:0. Seven minutes later, after Joao Grimaldo’s cross, Baba Musah scored with a header – 2:0. We had a couple more very good chances, but they remained unused. After the first half we were leading 2:0.

At the beginning of the second half, we lost the rhythm of the game, and in the 57th minute, the opponent’s midfielder Oskars Rubenis took advantage of his moment (1:2). There were several VAR pauses in the game. This was one of the factors that made the game nervous, but we played disciplined on our own half of the field. In the 87th minute, Antonijs Černomordijs scored a goal from close range, and we won 3:1.

We are very happy to announce that we have signed a contract with 25-year-old left-back Emīls Birka! Welcome to the team!

Emīls Birka was born on April 25, 2000 in Limbaži! Emīls is a football school “Metta” grown up player.

Birka also began his professional football career in this club. In 2022, Emīls signed a contract with “Valmiera” and became the champion of Latvia in the same year.

In total, Emīls has played 207 games in the Latvian Highest league, scoring nine goals and giving 29 assists. This season, Birka has eight assists in 19 games!

On Wednesday, in the 18th round of the Latvian Highest league, we defeated RFS 3:1 in the Riga derby. Ahmed Ankrah scored two goals, and Marko Regža scored once. On Sunday, the game against “Super Nova”.

In the first game this season, we won against RFS 1:0, but before the start of the season we lost in the Super Cup 1:3.

We played the first 30 minutes confidently, controlling the game, creating chances, but were unable to score. The best chance was for Reginaldo Ramires, but the opponents were saved by the goalkeeper. In the final part of the first half, RFS’s attacks were slightly more dangerous, although the opponents did not make a single shot on goal.

At the beginning of the second half, the opponents took advantage of our mistake, and Jānis Ikaunieks scored to give RFS a 1:0 lead. We responded after three minutes, when Ahmed Ankrah scored a beautiful goal (1:1). We demonstrated a huge desire to win and deservedly did so. In the 88th minute, Marko Regža scored a goal, but Ankrah made final score already at additional time – 3:1.

Today in a friendly match in Portugal we defeated one of the country’s football giants, “Porto”, 2:0. Goals were scored by Baba Musah and Ahmed Ankrah! On June 13, we will play a Latvian championship match against Grobiņa.

We went to Portugal on Friday, yesterday we had a training session, but today we met the famous “Porto” at the opponent’s training centre stadium. This club has won the Portuguese championship 30 times and won the UEFA Champions League trophy twice.

In the first half of the game, the opponents played more with the ball, but we countered with an aggressive game and strong team spirit. “Porto” executed many set pieces, but we were convincing in our own penalty area. The first half of the game ended with a score of 0:0.

We started the second half more actively and created a couple of really good chances. In the 65th minute, after a corner kick taken by El Bashir Ngom, Baba Musah scored a goal with a header – 1:0. It didn’t take long for Ahmed Ankrah to score with a fantastic shot and the result was already 2:0. Both teams had chances in the remaining part of the game, but the scoreboard didn’t change. Victory 2:0.

June 13th, away game in the Latvian championship against “Grobina”.

On Saturday, in the 16th round of the Latvian Highest league, we defeated FK “Tukums 2000” at the Skonto Stadium with a score of 3:0. The goals were scored by Joao Grimaldo, Reginaldo Ramires and Orlando Galo.

In the first game against Tukums, we won 3:0. Before this match, we had nine wins in a row.

The start of the game was very good. Already in the 8th minute, Joao Grimaldo scored a goal with a long-range shot – 1:0. We had a big advantage in ball control, made 12 shots, but we failed to score any more goals in the first half.

After the break, we continued to dominate. In the 53rd minute, after Grimaldo’s cross, Reginaldo Ramires scored a goal with a header – 2:0. In the second half we made even more shots, but we only scored the third goal at the very end of the game, when Orlando Gal0 scored from close range – the final result was a 3:0 victory.

Next game is on June 14 against Grobiņa.

Today in the 15th round of the Latvian Highest league, we defeated FK “Metta” 3:0 in an away match. Goals were scored by Meissa Diop, Baba Musah and Antonijs Černomordijs. On Saturday game at Skonto Stadium against Tukums.

In the first round against FK “Metta” we did not use many opportunities and played a draw with 1:1. Before today’s game, we had won eight victories in a row.

At the beginning of the game, the opponents demonstrated good resistance, but in the 12th minute Meissa Diop demonstrated great speed, and scored a goal at the end of a counterattack (1:0). In the second half, Baba Musah scored a goal after a corner kick, and after the first half we were leading 2:0.

In the 61st minute, Antonijs Černomordijs also scored a header after a corner kick – 3:0. We controlled the game, there were not many scoring opportunities for either team, and in the end we achieved an important away victory with a score of 3:0.
