Tonight in the 23rd round game of the Latvian Highest league, we defeated the “Tukums 2000/Telms” team 6:0. Abdulrahman Taiwo and Douglas Aureli0 scored two goals each. Flight to Hungary on Wednesday.
We had played two games against Tukums and won both. On the April 10th, 2:0 in an away match in Tukums and on May 21st, 5:1 victory in Mežaparks.
We needed a lot of time to score the first goal in this match. In the 42nd minute, Gauthier Mankenda played well individually and a moment later Abdulrahman Taiwo scored the first goal for our club – 1:0. At the end of the half, Douglas Aurelia showed his quality twice in the opponent’s penalty area. Two goals and we were ahead 3:0 after the first half.
At the very beginning of the second half, Mankenda controlled the ball well and scored a goal from close range – 4:0. In the 56th minute, Eduards Dašķevičs ran into the opponent’s penalty area at high speed and scored our team’s fifth goal in the game – 5:0. The game continued to be calmer, but that was not all in this match. In the 88th minute, Taiwo scored the second goal of the game from a few meters distance. 6:0 win.
The next game is on Thursday in the Conference League against the Hungarian vice-champion. The kick-off at 21:00 Latvian time.
