Tonight in the 24th round of the Latvian Highest league at the Skonto Stadium, we defeated “Daugavpils” with a scoreline of 1:0. On Thursday, a game against Polish vice-champion “Śląsk Wrocław”.
We won both games against Daugavpils this year with the result 2:0.
In the first half of the game, we controlled the ball significantly more, but there were not many very good scoring opportunities. After the first half, it was tied 0-0.
We started the second half aggressively, we wanted to score and we did. In the 51st minute, we scored a goal after a set piece. 1:0! We had chances to score the second goal as well, but it didn’t work out. We played well in defense and won 1-0 in the final result.
The next game will be away on August 1 in the second leg of the Conference League against the Polish vice-champion.
