Tonight at the Skonto Stadium, a 0:0 draw was recorded in the Riga derby in the 27th round of the Latvian Highest league. On August 31, we will play against Grobiņa.
This year we won the Latvian Supercup against RFS, but in the Latvian championship we lost the first game with 1:2, and the second game was tied 2:2.
In the first half of the game, we played more with the ball, the opponents offered a rather slow game and there were few good scoring moments. Ousseynou Niang had the best chance when the Senegalese midfielder shot just wide of the far corner. No goals scored in the first half – 0:0.
The game was very close in the second half as well. Both teams played selflessly and fought for every inch of the pitch. In one of the episodes, Niang headed over the goal from a good position. At the end of the game, the opposing defender Roberts Savalnieks hit the crossbar. The final score was tied 0:0.
