Alexxis Sierra Lipsey – one of the key players whose accuracy helped the team stay at the top of the table. Here are the numbers that speak for themselves:
81 – the number of accurate shots on target Lipsey has made for Riga FC Women.
60 goals during the 2025 season, 56 of which were scored in the Women’s Football League. This number has surpassed the Latvian Women’s Football League record.
Alexxis Lipsey joined the Riga team in the middle of the 2024 season and very quickly ranked among the league’s top scorers. By the end of the season, although she did not catch up with Vuškāne (RFS Women – 32 goals), she overtook Annija Andersone (FS Liepāja – 17 goals), finishing second among the Women’s League top scorers.
You became the first player in the Latvian Women’s League to officially score 56 goals. Is this also a career record for you?
Yes, these are definitely the most goals I have scored in my career. It’s special to leave such a mark in this country and in Latvian football overall. I am very proud and happy about it.
The last match is behind you, the season is over. A year and a half in Latvia — what can you say about your time here?
Yes, I am very happy. I’m very proud of the team. Finishing the season perfectly and with a win is great. And I am truly proud of all the hard work we put in.
I really enjoyed Latvia and the team. I liked all the girls I came to training with every day and worked hard with. The atmosphere was great and very pleasant. I think Latvian football is still developing, and it was interesting to see that and be part of it. But now I’m ready for new challenges. I’m grateful for everything I learned here — it was my first experience in Europe.
I wish all the best to the players who will return next season. I hope they will achieve what we couldn’t this year — get further in the Champions League. And of course, I hope they win everything — the Women’s League, the Latvian Cup, the Super Cup, and the Baltic League. I will definitely follow along.
What did you like most about Latvia?
Definitely the people. My teammates were certainly a big part of that. I liked the beautiful places and the cafés. And of course, the Riga FC supporters — they are the best.
Outside of football, my teammates and I also managed to travel a bit around Latvia — outside of Riga. We visited Cēsis, Sigulda, Liepāja, and Jūrmala. Wonderful places.
Have you learned any Latvian words?
A few, yes. Definitely one of them is “paldies” (“thank you”).
What are your future plans?
I don’t yet know what’s next, but I’m looking forward to it. I want a new challenge and to test myself, to see how far I can go and what level I can reach. I’m excited. I would like to play in Europe again. I love challenges, new cultures, and the chance to see and experience something new.
