In the second leg of the UEFA Conference League play-off round, we defeated the title-winning Czech club Sparta Prague 1:0 at Skonto Stadium, but lost 1:2 on aggregate and ended our Eurocup season.
In the first game, we showed a very respectable performance away from home, in the second half we also created good scoring opportunities, but conceded an unpleasant second goal at the very end of the game (0:2).
The game in Riga was different. There were periods of the game when we controlled the ball more, put pressure on the opponent’s goal. In the first half, we missed some very good moments, but we kept our hopes for the second half.
In the second half, we continued to attack, and in the 68th minute, Iago Siqueira scored a beautiful goal and gave us 1:0! The Czech giants were even forced to kill time, we gave it our all, but we were unable to score the second goal. 1:0 in the game, 1:2 on aggregate.
