Tonight in the 8th round of the Latvian Highest league, we defeated FK “Grobina” at Skonto Stadium with a scoreline of 3:0. Goals were scored by Reginaldo Ramires, Abdulrahman Taiwo and Eduards Dašķevičs. Next Saturday, the away game against RFS.
This was the first game this season at Skonto Stadium. The weather conditions were great, and 1067 spectators attended the match in person.
In the first attack of the game, Reginaldo Ramires scored a goal, but the referee signaled for offside. We controlled the ball a lot, but the attack lacked sharpness and there were practically no really good moments. After the first half, a fair draw 0:0.
In the second half, we played faster, but still for quite a long time we were unable to score. In the 71st minute, after a cross from Maksims Toņiševs, Ramires made a great header (1:0). The end of the game was quite nervous, and in one of the episodes Krišjānis Zviedris saved the team. Already in the additional time we scored two beautiful goals – at the beginning after a great combination Abdulrahman Taiwo scored, but a couple of minutes later Taiwo made a pass, and Eduards Dašķevičs scored – 3:0.
Next Saturday the game is away against RFS.
