Tonight at Mežaparks Sports Village in the 6th round of the Latvian Highest league we played a 1:1 draw against FK “Metta”. The only goal for our team was scored by Anthony Contreras. On Sunday, an away game in Tukums.
The start of this season has been difficult for our team. In the first four games we earned only five of the maximum 12 points, but in the last game we won away in Liepāja with 5:2. “Metta” defeated RFS with 1:0 in the previous round.
Similar to other games, we started actively, created scoring opportunities, but did not score. Overall, we completely dominated the first half of the game, played a lot with the ball, made shots from different positions, but to be fair, the opponents also played disciplined in defense. After the first half, the score was 0:0.
In the second half we continued to create one attack after another, and in the 61st minute our pressure paid off. From a good position, Anthony Contreras scored a goal – 1:0. After that, the game became quite chaotic, and in the 87th minute, after a corner kick, “Metta” equalized the score – 1:1.
